We need some personal details from you and proof of your ID and address. Our registration team will explain what documents we need to complete our KYC checks that prove who you are and where you live. We will also need a P45 from your current/previous employer. We will check that you are eligible to work in the UK and may request proof of this if you are not a UK citizen.
We don’t charge to join us. We only charge when you bill through our payroll service.
Our margin is either £27 per week or £81.50 per month. Please note we offset our margin before we calculate your Gross Pay for tax. This means that the net cost to you is much less than the weekly & monthly margins we publish.
You will be sent a P60 at year end. All tax and NI deductions calculated from your Quick Pay income will be notified to HMRC in Real Time (RTI). Unless you receive income from other sources then you shouldn’t need to complete a self assessment.
Since 6 April 2017, changes have been introduced for individuals that provide their services to clients in the public sector via an intermediary, such as a personal service company (PSC). The changes implemented transferred responsibility for paying any relevant tax/NI from the PSC to the client. This has meant that any public sector organisation who contracts with individuals who provide their services via a PSC, has to ascertain the employment status of the worker. This has led many departments to remove the risk of error and place a blanket ban on paying PSCs. An umbrella is a cost-effective solution for contractors as there are no joining or leaving restrictions to using their services so can be used as and when needed.
Payments are processed immediately the same day the funds from the agency are cleared, and payment terms will be agreed with yourself and the agency at the start of the contract. This will ensure no surprises and your funds arrive into your bank account when you are expecting them.
Quickpay is a UK umbrella company offering the services of contractors to UK recruitment agencies for UK based assignments, so unfortunately we cannot facilitate foreign contracts.
